Music is HOME for me. I belong to music, it chose me by talent and in return I chose it back by giving it love, nurturing it and pursuing it professionally.
To play in international stages and have a world wide following. To leave a music legacy years after I have passed.
I would have to start with giving everybody access to opportunity.
Britney Spears - Baby One More Time
My favorite have evolvedd over the past few years. I'm loving the new sounds of Alternative and Contemporary R&B such as the likes of Summerwalker, H.E.R, Bryson Tiler, The Weeken etc. I still love my old school artists thoug like Whitney Houston, Babyface, Mary J Blidge and many more.
I feel so good when I do music, its as though I transcend into another dimension where I feel a heightened sense of being alive, where I feel happy, where my mind buzzes with good thoughts and my body oozes with good feels. Being in this world inspires me to make music!
I want people to forget about their stresses and get lost in the vibe even if its just for those 3 minutes
The second best part about music is sharing it with people, I love performing and sharing a bit of myself and my art with others. I also put a lot behind my work and it feels good to have someone else appreciating it.
I have to commened Musicians for being very innovative and driven nowadays. I see upcoming musicians killing it on their own without any deals or endorsements.
Seemless platformm. Love the EPK
As an independent musician you don't have the back up that signed artists have and its that back up thay exposes you to greater audiences, bigger projects, greater network and it also means you get to focus on creating and perfecting your product as opposed to being the jack of al trades but I'm taking it all in and having to overser my music career rigjt now is exposing me to all sorts of different things. I'm learning a lot but the end goal is to have a team that looks after the different aspects of my music.
I support all sorts of different initiavives by local artists
Resilience and remanih true to yourself is very important because people tend to be very harsh and opinionated about Musicians and if you let that get to you, you'll end up changing yourself just to pleaee them or feeling depressed because of all the negativity.
I have plenty but I'll give you 3 from my country South Africa: Cassper Nyovest Elaine Nasty C
