Music has the power to heal the most painful emotional wounds. Music is the only thing that ever gave me the feeling of being at the right place, doing the only thing I’m suppose to do. Nothing compares to that feeling in my chest whenever I’m at a rehearsal and the band starts to play...
I’d reply with a quote: “this would never end because I want more”. At first I wanted to check if anything good can come of the songs I had. Now when I had the first single, first EP, the music video and it all got a lot of positive reactions, I can’t wait to release full-length album. And I hope it will be successful enough so I can focus on composing new songs and making tours.
I see a lot of injustice around me, and I like to believe I can be the one helping people who can’t stand out for themselves. But I do realize this is a slippery road...
Roxette - The Look. Basically lots from Roxette.
Lots of them. I tend to favor the ones who show the whole diversity of emotions in their performances, like Maynard Keenan, Tori Amos, Florence Welch, Corey Taylor, Amalie Bruun (Myrkur).
I never write songs when I’m feeling happy. Composing for me is a relief and the only helper when I feel sad and depressed. And inspiration comes from everywhere – sometimes I can feel fascinated by a single word as it gives an impulse.
Every tragedy hides the potential for becoming a stronger, a better human being. And every happy moment holds some bitterness inside, as it won’t last forever. Seeing something good in something bad and vice versa - I guess that’s how you can summarize it.
“Being at the right place” - that’s what comes to my mind first.
Music is so much simpler to produce and distribute, and at the same time it results with such lower average quality - it’s a shame. I believe music should not be created simply for the sake of creating it, songs should awaken emotions and affect people's’ lives.
Drooble looks like a small and extremely warm and friendly community.
Knowing my skills have limit, when I wish they didn’t :)
I try not to miss live performances of the ones I like or to support my friends whenever they perform.
Nothing helps stand out more than a consistent style in everything you do. Your music, your visuals, the backstory for your work. What is the story behind your music project? What makes you different from other bands/artists? We are talking brand experience here, and approach to it is the same as it should be for any other brand (be it music band or Nike's).
