My band NV was founded in 2009 at my university Lahore University of Management Sciences (LUMS) - i used to be a singer-songwriter, and my friend Azam was the guitar player. I had been writing songs for a long time and on some of them Azam played guitars. In 2011 we recorded our debut song 'Sawera' along with Karachi based drummer Asim Siddiqui. A second song we recorded in 2014 titled 'Anjaana' but the mixing and mastering done by a friend sounded amateur. It led me to establish my own studio and i re-released a re-mastered version titled 'ANJ' in 2016. Since then NV has been a one man band in which i play all instruments, and produce the audios and videos. I have a huge catalogue of songs written in English since Urdu (my native language) music doesn't excite me anymore due to a lack of appreciation/formal market. Writing songs in English, that i abandoned in 2010, and restarted in 2017, i feel allows me to access the global audience. If time allows, I might relocate to the west to pursue music professionally, right now I have to do a day job to support my family and music. :)
