Music is art. As with any art, it allows the artist to express themselves and allows others to share similar feelings with the artist through interpretation of their art.

The biggest message I want people to gather from my music is that "you're not alone, no matter what struggle or hardship you may be going through, you are not alone."
At first it was nerve wracking, but once the beat hit and I realized that "these people are here for me", I get in the zone.
I feel like it's all about the money anymore. It's not about making music with a message outside of the same overused "party" messages. Music is slowly losing its purpose.

I do, although it's hard. In the rare instance that there's a local show, I attend it, but that's only about twice a year.
Be different, stop trying to sound like the guys/girls on the radio. And invest in yourself, but only pay for promotion when it's beneficial to.
