Unrest Over Affinity, an LGBT fronted Alternative Rock Band from the North of England. Formed in 2021 by Vocalist and Bassist Apollo Anders(He/Him) and Guitarist Ash Hudson(She/Her) with Sam Tozer on drums(They/Them), the bands music is a unique blend of Alternative Rock, Grunge and Punk with catchy hooks and powerful lyrics, which has garnered them attention from local audiences and critics a like off the back of their two most recent releases.
For the band, music has given us a platform and creative outlet to tell or stories and share them with other people who might find a little bit of solace in them and some form of relatability like we did with our influences.
We do hope to make it in the industry. Even if that's having a couple 1000 of monthly listeners on Spotify. We truly do believe the music scene in the last decade has missed a gritty rock act who isn't scared to tell the world how it is, and that's what we are.
Honestly it'd be nice for human rights to apply to everyone. To have everyone be respected and have no bias against them for simply being them.
For our Guitarist Ash, it has to be Panic! At The Disco's I write Sins or My Chems I'm not okay. These always had such striking images to me as a kid in the 2000s and I just remember them being on heavy rotation on Kararnag.
As a band we have so many it's hard to compile a list of who we truly love as we have so many artists we admire and look up to, we'd be here forever.
