What is music to you? What does it give you?

Music is an organised collection of notes and harmonies accompanying a lead melody. Or Possibly Not. It can provide untold riches, freedom from strife, sexual gratification and spiritual enlightenment. :)

What is your music dream?

To achieve recognition, untold riches, sexual gratification and spiritual enlightenment via songwriting. Or Possibly Not.

If you could change the world - what would you start with?

Gaining control of the money supply. Yes - definately.

Velvet Underground, very early Roxy Music, Bowie, Radiohead, Kraftwerk, Donna Summer, Frank Sinatra, Lead Belly, Dylan

What inspires you to make music?

Life... and the desire to maintain a degree of sanity...

What is the message you want to send with your music?

Force yourself...and follow your joy.

How do you feel when you perform in front of an audience?

Completely Alive...and in control.

How do you see the musicians’ reality nowadays? What could be improved?

Difficult...almost impossible...to reach across genres...it's so fragmented now...and musical heroes are not as life defining and sacred and vital as they once was. Music has become a commodity. the separation of the mainstream from what is patronisingly termed as 'indie' contributed to this.

What do you think of Drooble?

It's cool!

What frustrates you most as a musician?

Lack of vitamins...and opportunities squandered!

Do you support your local scene as a fan? How?

I'm not a big fan of modern songwriters...most are pretty dull. But I try to...really I do!

What qualities should a musician nowadays have in order to get their music heard by a larger audience?

The ability to create their own myth and to market themselves...particularly via social media...something I cannot be arsed with very much!
