What is music to you? What does it give you?

It's a lifelong passion that's also largely therapy i would say.

What is your music dream?

I've been releasing since the mid 90's myself as a solo musician, i've never had a dream other than continuing to do my own thing. I release freely in mp3 format as well as making songs available online if people would like to stream them and/or purchase a few if they want to show support that way. I focus on whatever i feel at any moment, i'm not tied to one style or sound necessarily. If anything, those who know my music know you often don't know what to expect when the next album track plays. It's always been an exploration in this way. I've always produced music because i enjoy doing so. If people end up enjoying it after i share it, that's great. If not, i'm still happy because it was something i enjoyed that still means a lot to me.

If you could change the world - what would you start with?

I think it would be great if everyone could be nice to one another to begin with. Many people seem angry and societies are fractured and divided by politics. The reality is, we're all human, we all suffer, we all have dreams, desires and essentially want the same things. We all wish to live in peace and pursue the things we find joy and comfort in. I think the beginning of this is recognizing however different we may be from one another, respect is key even when we disagree on things. I try to find the ways in which i can relate to others, vs. focusing on whatever differences we may have. Of course this is easier said than done sometimes but if you live each day with this notion in your heart and mind, it's easier i think to find common ground and peace with others.

Which is the most memorable song from your childhood?

Skinny Puppy - 'Tear Or Beat'. I bought that on cassette tape as a teen and the synth work in it, especially lead synths i loved. I grew up with punk music aside from that but that industrial song made me fall in love with hard electronic music and really made me focus on that style early on.

Who are your favorite musical artists or bands?

Way too many to name, almost all genres and styles. I especially love world music, funk, afrobeat, jazz, experimental music, and folk music from around the world.

What inspires you to make music?

It's something i love to do and have done for a long time. I didn't start releasing until i was a young adult but i experimented with sound and music long before that.

What is the message you want to send with your music?

Be true to yourself and record what you want to record. Don't be afraid to mix things up on each album, experiment if you want. There is nothing that says you have to stick to one style in life. I haven't in a quarter century of making music and i don't plan on it now.

How do you feel when you perform in front of an audience?

I don't perform live. I'm a studio musician, no desire to play live.

How do you see the musicians’ reality nowadays? What could be improved?

I'm probably not the best to speak on this being an indie artist who is solo, releases themselves, doesn't play live and just does their own thing.

What do you think of Drooble?

So far it seems cool, i just uploaded the first HQ FLAC file here, about to add a few more off my latest album, singles i've released thus far.

What frustrates you most as a musician?

Not much, i just do what i do when i'm feeling it and able to focus on it. Sometimes this is easier said than done, i'm bipolar and admittedly it's tough at times.

Do you support your local scene as a fan? How?

I'm not involved in any music scene in Seattle. When i was starting out in the mid 90s, Seattle wasn't exactly known for electronic music. I was underground then and to a large degree still am. That works for me. These days when not making music myself i'm usually focused on my DSLR photography. I also enjoy learning about different cultures through photography, music, film and studying different aspects of history. I'm endlessly fascinated by how diverse our planet really is and i love learning. I'm always curious to know more.

What qualities should a musician nowadays have in order to get their music heard by a larger audience?

Obviously share it, i also use services to release on Spotify, Tidal, iTunes / Apple Music and a bunch of others.
