Hello I’m Andy Scott, promoting myself under the name Rush Her With Love, purely so that whenever I write a song I can say here is the new single from (a play on words stolen from the 007 movie… it’s good to be a bit cheesy!) I started music at the age of 8 playing cello and then switched to guitar at 16 to play cooler music (I was young!). I love to record and got my first 4 track recorder when I was about 20, which was amazing. Today I use Logic Pro X, which is brilliant and cheap, having spent a few years on Pro Tools LE. I’m still very much a novice at this science, but I can lose hours and hours to it, experimenting. Music creation to me is audio art, a chance to express with a few brush strokes, a chord or a riff and just see where it goes. I love anything from happy to sad to absolute aggression that makes me want to throw myself around the room even though I’m 53! My favourites through the years have been Pink Floyd, Rush, Iron Maiden, Black Sabbath, The Police, Faith No More, No Doubt, Dream Theater, Muse, Twenty One Pilots, Sylosis, Nothing But Thieves including individuals such as David Gilmour, Alex Lifeson, Joe Satriani, Steve Vai, John Petrucci to name but a few.
