SJ Lyfe grew up in upstate New York. He was surrounded by pain, poverty, and addiction. His mother battled mental illness and has always showed love for her family. Life was dysfunctional at times but his father was a family man, he always kept God as number one. At thirteen years old SJ had to grow up fast. He has always known who Jesus was and relied on Him for help when faced with obstacles in his life. Music was always a way to get out the hurt that was bottled up, that’s what led him to now. Through his music, he tells stories of his life and shares examples of overcoming obstacles while seeking and leaning on God for understanding, comfort, and love. SJ is excited to continue giving positive and heartwarming messages to all people around the world through his music. To SJ, success is reaching people though his music and introducing them to Jesus.
