Andrew Edilson

Story

Self-taught, beginning at the age of 9, I learned piano. I played trumpet and sax in middle school and high school concert band. I picked up guitar at 16 and started playing in a gigging Praise and Worship band immediately. I played guitar in a couple metal bands during college, before realizing my potential for singing. In 2010, I front-manned a 3-piece known as Last Sonata, which dismantled in 2013. After taking a long break from performing, I returned to the local gigging scene in 2018 as a solo musician. I currently play solo shows, and will soon be debuting a new band called Idle Streets.

What is music to you? What does it give you?

Music for me is something that cannot be contained. I listen to it differently then others, and I can't keep it to myself. It helps to give me purpose, and seeing others enjoy my performances brings me great joy. It's an expression that words alone cannot cover.

What is your music dream?

The feedback that I get after every show is my dream- that people will love and appreciate music as I present it to them. Of course, I'd always like to make more money doing it...
