Alternativ is an Armenian rock band from Yerevan. At the beginning, the brothers Sargis Burnazyan and Karapet Burnazyan created the mini-band Burnazyan Brorthers and performed at the university, where they earned great popularity among students. Later Alen Amiryan, who met with the leader of the group Karapet in very interesting circumstances, was joined them on 2011. Next is joined by other members of the group who also attended the same University, pianist Garik Avagyan and bassist Hayk Hayrumyan. They decided to create a cover group, but succeeded by very hard work. Unfortunately, it didn't make them to get more popularity and move higher into their musical career. During one of the cover concerts they met drummer Areg Petrosyan, who at that time played in two groups, he joined them in the Open Air of RAU, where they first performed as a band. In December 2015, finally getting as a group they have called - AlternatiV. This name came from very hard and difficult searches for rehearsal places, instruments, and the band had to always find alternative ways to figure it out. Their debut was on February 2016 where they performed not only covers but also with the own, original music. In 2016, the AlternatiV auditioned as a band candidates for the fourth series of the British televised dining competition The X-Factor, which takes place in Armenia. Guys placed in the "bands" category and reached the live shows, where they were mentored by Garik Papoyan. Unfortunately, at the third live show, not gaining a sufficient number of votes, the group leaves from the project. As reported by young musicians, The X-Factor was a very interesting and exciting period of time of their lives. At the moment, the group continues to work on new songs, preparing for numerous concerts, recording album and take the audience by storm.
