Story

Judah is a Christian Rock band from the Midwest United States, who's music is a mixture of classic hard rock/metal sprinkled with a bit of progressive rock from such early childhood influences as Rush, Iron Maiden, Kiss,Judas Priest,Jimi Hendrix,Ozzy Osbourne etc. Based Primarily in the central region of Ohio, the team of J.B. Spears, Larry Grant, and Kelly Blevins have sought to bring their positive message of faith to the world through song. THE JUDAH STORY A BRIEF HISTORY JUDAH is the combined talents of J.B. Spears on guitars and lead vocals, Larry Grant Curnutte Jr (pronounced KER-NEWT). on bass guitar and backing vocals, and Kelly Blevins on drums and percussion. It was in 2011 that JB and Grant met at church in Upper Sandusky, Ohio. JB was playing drums for the praise team at the time and in conversation J.B. had turned Grant on to his music projects from 2002 and 2005 respectively. However as fate would have it the church ended up needing a new bassist a role which Larry Grant would end up filling and thus the magic began. Fast forward a few years as JB and Grant began to talk about forming a band and it was then they met Kelly who the very first time they played together fit so well it was like they'd played together for years. In 2017 the trio started playing the songs from JB's two solo projects Doorway of Dimensions and Resurrected live together under the name Judah which JB had already established years before as that is JB's actual first name and didn't technically become an actual band until Grant and Kelly came along. Now here in the latter part of 2019 the trio has released the first Judah studio album as a band, PARENTAL ADVISORY EXPLICIT TRUTH on their own label AJC Recordings and published by Judah Spears Music Publishing ASCAP. We hope you enjoy listening to these songs as much as we enjoyed writing and recording them. - JUDAH

If you could change the world - what would you start with?

JB: Churches! There full of hypocrites Larry Grant: There are many, many things I'd love to change but the first would be people nowadays being offended so easily by everything, it's like they don't realize that if we had the same opinions on everything as well as likes and dislikes there would be no need to be innovative and we'd all be boring.

Which is the most memorable song from your childhood?

JB: Rush 2112 overture. The Temple of Syrnix B side of the album Passage to Bangkok , & Twilight zone.
