I am a guitarist/singer/songwriter looking for a bassist to be a part of my band. Ideally I would like to meet someone who is fairly serious and passionate about making a future and career in music, hardworking and motivated to want to get things done in a timely manner. I recently quit my full-time corporate job to pursue music on a full-time basis. I spend my days writing and refining my songs and also rehearsing with the members of the band I have so far. I have been playing in bands since about 12 years old and I have a good amount of experience writing songs which are generally at a pretty decent level. I can play guitar and drums well and can use logic pro x for demos/home studio recordings. I have also recorded songs in professional recording studios such as 301 studios as well as Sony studios in Sydney to produce my previous releases with my old band Berlin Blue. I am an organised person capable of dealing with things professionally. I know what I need to achieve and what direction to move in order to make a successful and financially viable career from music, and right now that is a bass player. The overall musical direction and concept for the band would be along the lines of The Cure, Arctic Monkeys, Blur, The Strokes and basically lots of indie rock and Britpop - something to get started on (however my actual musical tastes are quite varied - anything that sounds melodically great, from Led Zeppelin to Taylor Swift).
