Alessandro Calabrese

Bio

Alessandro Calabrese was born on the 8.11.1992 in Solingen, Germany. He learned the guitar at the age of six. At the age of 15 he played the bass in several schoolbands and recorded a bunch of rappers in town. Amazed by Electronic,Dance and Rapmusic of the late 90s such as (Eiffel65, Daft Punk, Gigi DĀ“Agostino, B.I.G,Tupac) he decided to dedicate his life to music. As a complete autodidact he learned all the techniques he needed by trying and messing around with Logic Pro 9 or Akai MPCs and Samplers. Also inspired by music legends such as Marcus Miller or Victor Wooten, he kept on practicing and playing the E-Bass in several showbands. In december 2013 he decided to combine both components together and the "pHaZe Project" was born. 2 month later he remixed the at that time unreleased Daft Punk track "Get Lucky" by using the sample of their commercial in combination with his remarkable "bassline" style. Falsly the community thought of a "leak" and the remix gained huge attention in the whole world. Since then he has produced remixes of tracks by Cris Cab, Pharrell Williams or Michael Jackson that are mostly popular, cause of the funky bassline :). Now he is working with international artists on different Projects between different genres.
