Well actually nowadays is very hard to live from music you know the gigs are not well payed, there is a lot of clubs and bars that want that the bands play for free and adding to that the fact that some genres as Reggaeton (the worst shit ever) had become the mainstream, or at least in latin america, makes even harder for real musicians who plays rock, metal, jazz or some other genre where you really need musical skills, not a sound software with autotune, to get the attention, reconigtion and treatment that they deserve.

To actually have musical skills, i mean you don´t need to be a virtuoso but at least you must have a good level of music knowledge to create good music, that is the first part the second part is to use the social media resources that we have nowadays to promote ourselves, you can get a lot of audience by using this resources, and third by making some good choices about the gigs they play i mean you must target your specific public and by all means you must try not to play for free, i mean when you are starting and no one knows you it might be okay to do this, but you can't do this for long because you will never be aprecciated by your local scene and, you know, you actually you need to win money by doing what you love.
Well i don´t if you known who he is but i will mention Felix Pastorious he is the son of the amazing bass player Jaco pastorious but even if he is an awesome bass player on his own right he is not actually famous.
