What is music to you? What does it give you?

It give me something to constantly build on and improve. Also gives me some great times with other musicians. One of my favorite things to do is making music with other people.

What is your music dream?

At this point i’ve got a couple. First Ive been playing 50 years and would like to share more of what Ive learned by providing guitar session work via internet for song writers that might not yet have the cash or name recognition to get a professional studio musician, or they are looking to gather some ideas for for songs they are working on. before heading into a recording session. The second is to do a set of original material with a small group in a simple setting for people out to have a good time.

If you could change the world - what would you start with?

The most important thing any person can do is take personal action to directly help someone else.

Which is the most memorable song from your childhood?

There are a few: Holly Holy by Neil Diamond and Hey Jude bring back a lot of emotion. I had never heard anything like Crosby Stills Nash and Young “Carry On” first time my older cousin spun that album. And just about every musical moment from the film “Jesus Christ Superstar”.

Who are your favorite musical artists or bands?

I like a wide variety of songs and artists. To dial that in, I’d say favorites right now are those that I’m playing along with, and trying to write to. Those are (surprise, guitarists!) Mark Knopfler, Robin Trower, and Mike Campbell /Tom Petty. Each depending on the mood I’m in.

What inspires you to make music?

usually a song I hear, or an experience - sometimes an “everyday” sometimes profound - that I feel to try to put to music.

What is the message you want to send with your music?

Seriously? That I can make music you like.

How do you feel when you perform in front of an audience?

Like I’m surrounded by friends, but I’m also apprehensive in that I hope they like the music.

How do you see the musicians’ reality nowadays? What could be improved?

Lots of talent that need to get out and play in front of people and collaborate more with others.

What do you think of Drooble?

I’m just getting started. I let you know later.

What frustrates you most as a musician?

Wish there were more opportunities to play with other musicians who want to collaborate on doing original songs, or ways to put our own flavor on a classic.

Do you support your local scene as a fan? How?

Yes, attend events and talk with the musicians when /i can.

What qualities should a musician nowadays have in order to get their music heard by a larger audience?

From what Ive heard it seems a lot of artists today do not pay attention to those who actually invented or polished a particular style. They have their influences, but what they come up with is watered down and over produced. It’s a real shame because their is a lot of talent out their.

Share some awesome artists that we’ve never heard of.

Trick question? ME of course.
