Adam Deville

Story

"Stay awhile and listen" I'm Adam 'Wolf' Deville. I first started playing guitar in my teens (not saying how long ago that was!) - inspired by Slash - Guns n Roses Appetite for Destruction. Admittedly whiling away my youth I became a proficient rhythm guitarist. Further influenced by, in no particular order, James Hetfield, CC Deville, Simon Hinkler, Blackie Lawless. I was happy then just to riff and play. Now, I'm qualified IT tech, and music tutor too. I have joined and started a few bands over the years, most recently I was rhythm guitarist/vocalist in German (Regen) band, CULPA untill Oct 2019. Having never really found a 'home' musically, I decided to see if I could play, and sing, just me and my guitar. I'm loving it, discovering a passion that I didn't know I had. On this page, you will find links to, and videos of past and present musical ventures. The odd picture. A lot of gear porn. Guitar resurrection and customisation. Thanks for taking the time to look, and read! Please join me on this journey, and feel free to like, share and comment on any of my stuff.

What is music to you? What does it give you?

Life.. without music there is no reason to breath..

What is your music dream?

to be a better musician and make people be interested to listen to me

If you could change the world - what would you start with?

Removal of the Greed.. starting with footballers.. I hate football. they do not need to be millionaires to kick a ball around a field in their underwear.. doctors nurses people who save lives and work for a living need the money way more.. the world will not be a better place till the greed for money is gone..

Who are your favorite musical artists or bands?

Oh man, do i have to have Favorites? ok maybe we can do that different :- Guns N' Roses started my love affair with the electric Guitar.. Which spawned into Rock/Metal the likes of Poison,Bon Jovi, Warrant, W.A.S.P, L.A Guns, ETC by the late Nighties, i moved on to being a Metallica Fan boi (thanks to the black Album) after this things blur a bit and i was listening to alsorts of things like New Model Arm, Garbage, (the Two that Stand Out) then on hearing a copulation CD i got from the local Library i Found All About Eve.. And though that into the Mission, Sisters of Mercy (which started my on my Gothic Path) and i was grabbing any Goth i could get my hands on (and Biff Naked) while in this phase i joined a Nu metal Band "D-Shock" there is gig footage on my Youtube Channel and this started me in to linkin Park, Limp Bizkit, Rob Zombie, Marilyn Manson Etc.. the Band Changed Direction back to Classic 80s hair metal just before i left.. awash in a sea of musical tastes, i got into lacuna coil, Within Temptation back to my Gothic side.. in the next years i found Alabama 3,Avril Lavigne , (check them out they did the theme to the sopranos) after this i moved to Australia for 5 yrs listening to alsorts while gaming (mostly) stuff like theory of a dead man, nickleback, depeche mode, Type o Negative (i sung love you to death a lot while driving in Aus) Poe, here i discovered the birthday massacre (def high in the top 10 of my favorite bands) next i moved to germany, and continued my eclectic taste in music currently listening to such artists as :- Celldweller, Blue Stahli, Sunset Neo, Scandroid, dance with the dead, (lots of 80s style electronic stuff) this is a brief and i mean brief history of my musical growth.. and prob misses out a lot of important stuff, so DONT judge me by one Artist. I like a VERY Diverse array of styles artists and genres..

What inspires you to make music?

Day to day feelings. The call of my heart... Music is life.. Without music.. I might as well stop breathing...

How do you feel when you perform in front of an audience?

Alive.. as a musician we are extroverts by nature we do so that others may hear and be moved, live is the one true way to feel the flow between your audience and you ..

How do you see the musicians’ reality nowadays? What could be improved?

More Access to LIVE Music, (this is prob just a gripe cause i live in the backwater uncultured end of nowwhere) i think there is 2 "what i would call" Local Places to place and one is a pool hall with not much room IMO.. seems its ok if you a solo acoustic artist .. or a trio or a full rock band is so out of luck :(

What do you think of Drooble?

I like it.. I think it gives artists things that no other social media does. The radio is a great idea..to get heard. And to talk to other muscians make friends and contacts.. Its wonderfull.. Definatly what i was looking for

What frustrates you most as a musician?

Lack of real interaction between people.. might just be me but i find for all the likes and followers, noone is really "invested in you as an person"

What qualities should a musician nowadays have in order to get their music heard by a larger audience?

Determination.. Ego (but not arrogance)... Patience.

Share some awesome artists that we’ve never heard of.

Celldweller, Scandroid, The Birthday Massacre, Blue Stahi, Sunset Neon, Dance with the Dead
