Electronic artist 2psyched, an American-Filipino born and raised in the Baltimore-Washington area. Graduate from the University of Maryland, practicing as an experienced acute psychiatric registered nurse- developing a greater community through leadership, management and creating non-invasive ways to further bridge gaps in mental wellness. Attributing his artistic foundation to growing up listening to a wide range of genres, spending time around night clubs as a promoter, and living in places such as the Dutch-Netherlands Antilles, Chicago, and San Diego. Producing for self-created, local independent electronic label, Required Noise, 2psyched is currently based in the Austin, Texas area. Distributing music through various digital hubs such as Spotify, Apple Music, Amazon, Bandcamp, Beatport and Soundcloud. Categorizing his music as "minimal electronic," with major influences from -but not limited to- Robert Hood, Jeff Mills, Mark Broom, Radio Slave, Richie Hawtin, Dubfire, Joris Voorn, Boris Brejcha, and Oliver Huntemann.






What is music to you? What does it give you?

"I think music to me is therapeutic. It's a method of dealing with life. It's grounding in nature. It gives me a sense of self and happiness."

What is your music dream?

"To be honest, I think with music in general, or creating music, is my own selfish passion. I really enjoy what I do. It brings me happiness. I feel that it's sense in art and community can really bring out the best in all of us. And to that, I think the dream is to really just emulate or inspire those feelings for someone else too. "

If you could change the world - what would you start with?

"Ooo (sighs), well that's a loaded question. From mental health awareness to public safety, I wouldn't even know where to begin. I think the basics of just good manners, diversity awareness, the please and thank yous in the world would be a good start. In my own personal world though, I wouldn't mind having my own pizza oven (Hahaha!) and BBQ smoker. I'd probably never leave the house. I'm trying to get that grub game on."

Which is the most memorable song from your childhood?

""Crazy" by Patsy Cline (Hahaha!). Listen, that damn song is like embedded into my brain. Growing up, we had this karaoke Magic Mic in the house, and my mom would sing it every morning. Loud and proud. There wouldn't be a care in the world if you were still sleeping."

Who are your favorite musical artists or bands?

"I always hated this question. I'm a fan of all music. I can't really say I have just one artist(s) in mind. My playlist right now could have anywhere from country, rock, reggae, electronic music, to rap/hip-hop."

What inspires you to make music?

"Music really just keeps me going, in general. It's something that I enjoy very much. I'm happy with it. I enjoy hearing others and their adventures with music. It's a sense of community. It brings people together. And I want to keep bringing that energy in my own personal life."

What is the message you want to send with your music?

"You know, I really haven't given it much thought on what message I want to send. I suppose as an artist, I should have that sense of responsibility to the community. But again, I do music for me, cause I enjoy it. I guess the message is to do what you love. Enjoy it. Have fun with it. Break free. Continue to bring yourself smiles."

How do you feel when you perform in front of an audience?

As anyone could imagine, it'd be nerve wracking at first, but a lot of fun.

What do you think of Drooble?

"I enjoy Drooble very much. Very engaging and it has a great warm community."
