In addition to her solo work, Sam is the lead singer, songwriter, and instrumentalist for the alternative funk rock band, Friendly Thieves. Central to Sam's musical expression is her beloved electric jazz master ukulele, custom-made for her by Banner Guitar Works in Cape Town, South Africa.
